invasion of the body scanners

This is the new security body scanner at Manchester Airport which has attracted contoversy over privacy issues. All the passengers we met at the airport were happy to undergo the scan if it increased airline security.

a glimpse of the past

I went to photograph a community group near a building site in Blackburn who had found a time capsule which is over 150 years old. It was a large glass botlle and included a newspaper dated 1850 , old coins and tickets. It was really interesting , although the smell when the bottle was opened was nasty. It seems 150 year old air smells very much like old cheese. Nice.
